LÆV

Light ArtExperience Visual

LÆV is a modular light art system exploring perception, interaction and transformation.

Created by artist and designer Kurt Penetsdorfer, each structure begins as an authored object and evolves through interaction with its owner. Light reveals different forms depending on perspective, movement and assembly.

Each LÆV object consists of precision cut acrylic elements that can be assembled into evolving sculptural compositions. Combining contemporary light art with collectible design, LÆV explores the interaction between light, structure and perception.

LAEV invites the viewer to observe, assemble and reinterpret the work – turning spectators into participants.

Every LÆV structure evolves through assembly and interaction.

LÆV was initiated by Austrian creator Kurt Penetsdorfer.

Working intuitively and largely autodidactically, his work explores the relationship between light, reflection and spatial structures. Rather than creating fixed sculptures, the goal of LÆV is to provide a modular system that allows each user to build their own light objects.
